How PDR Pricing Works

Paintless Dent Repair is precise hand-work, so the price is based on the size of the dent and the effort required to reach and release it. Pricing starts with a base rate and grows with the dent's size:

• First inch — $165 base rate
• Each additional inch — add $65

So a 2-inch dent starts at $230, a 3-inch dent at $295, and so on. Those are starting prices for a straightforward dent in an accessible steel panel — the difficulty factors below can increase them.

What Increases Difficulty & Cost

Two dents of the same size can take very different amounts of skill and time. These factors increase the effort — and the price — of a repair:

• Body-line dents — damage on or near a sharp body line is harder to work and release cleanly.
• Aluminum or high-strength steel — these panels (common on Tesla, many luxury and newer vehicles) are stiffer and take more skill and time than standard steel.
• Braced or inaccessible areas — bracing, foam, or limited room behind the panel makes the dent harder to reach.
• Parts removal for access — when tail lights, headlights, door panels, or trim must be removed to reach the dent, that adds labor.
• Sharp dents and creases — tight, deep, or creased damage takes longer to bring back to factory shape.
• Multiple dents or hail — larger counts are evaluated together and may qualify for insurance coverage.
